Jim Dalton, Psy.D., HSPP, CSAYC

President and Chief Executive Officer
President and CEO Jim Dalton has long made an impact on the developmental disabilities industry. A licensed child psychologist, Dr. Dalton is highly regarded for his innovation in child behavioral health care. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Anderson University, a master’s from Spalding University and graduated first in his doctoral class in child psychology. He completed his residency at the Ohio State University.

Richard L. Harcourt

Chief Financial Officer
As Senior Vice President, Chief Financial and Compliance Officer, Richard Harcourt is charged with strategic planning and management of all administrative operations related to finance, accounting, purchasing, safety, maintenance, dietary and housekeeping. Rich started as a volunteer with Damar in 1986 and became a full-time employee in 2008. He is a graduate of the Miller School of Business at Ball State University.

Jennifer Mann

Chief Human Resources Officer
As Chief Human Resources Officer, Jennifer Mann is responsible for serving Damar’s employee population. She and her team focus on recruitment and retention efforts, as well as performance management for the organization. She is a graduate of the Kelly School of Business at IUPUI.

Ken File

President, Damar Foundation
Ken File is the president of the Damar Foundation. In that role, he is charged with the strategic development of Damar’s philanthropy program. He holds an MBA from the University of Indianapolis and a bachelor’s degree in education from Kansas State University. Prior to joining Damar, he worked for Goodwill Industries and spent over 25 years at the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation.

Shannon Bess, MSW, LCSW

Vice President, Community Living and Support Services (CLASS)
As Damar’s vice president for Community Living and Support Services (CLASS), Shannon Bess, MSW, LCSW has responsibility for leading, directing and monitoring treatment services for adolescent boys served at Damar’s residential campus and transitional service homes. She holds her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Indiana University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Carla Bill, MSW, LCSW

Vice President, Youth Services- Admissions and Transitions
Carla Bill is the vice president of youth services and admissions at Damar. Responsible for facilitating residential placements, she is Damar’s official liaison to the Indiana County Divisions of Child Services, Indiana Division of Disability Services and Indiana Department of Education. Carla is a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work.

Jennifer Maggard, MSW, LCSW

Vice President, Outpatient & Behavior Support Services
As vice president for outpatient and behavior support services, Jennifer Maggard is charged with leading the development, implementation and evaluation of outpatient clinical treatment services. An active member of the National Association of Social Workers, Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Purdue University and a master’s in social work from Indiana University.

Tifini McClyde

Vice President, Performance Management
Tifini McClyde serves as Vice President for Performance Management. In that role, she is responsible for managing the organization’s quality and compliance initiatives. Tifini came to Damar in 2006 and has held a variety of positions in the Human Resources department.

Katie McCoy

Chief Executive Assistant
As executive assistant for Damar Services, Katie McCoy supports the offices of the President & CEO and executive leadership team, as well as serving as a liaison to the Board of Directors. She also supervises the Damar Ambassadors. Katie has been with Damar since 1996 and has held this position for nearly 20 years.

Jenny Peters

Vice President, Communications and Marketing
Jenny Peters serves as the vice president of communications and marketing for Damar. In this role, she leads the development, implementation and evaluation of Damar’s internal and external communications and marketing initiatives. Jenny holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Indiana State University and a master’s degree from Indiana University.

Nick Andersen

Director of Facilities & Assets
As director of facilities and assets, Nick Andersen is responsible for supervising the accounting and maintenance staff. A Damar employee since 2009, Nick is a graduate of Indiana University. He also holds and MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Kristie Barna

Assistant Director of Community Living & Support Services (CLASS)
As assistant director of Community Living and Support Services (CLASS), Kristie is charged with directing all operations for Damar’s educational mentoring program, as well as the less-than-24-hour youth and adult waiver services. Kristie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University and has spent her entire career in the developmental disabilities field.

Karen Causey

Director of Medicaid Group Homes
As director of Medicaid group homes, Karen Causey oversees the residential management of Damar’s group home program. A Damar employee since 1991, Karen has held many titles during her tenure. She holds a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation, with a minor in psychology from Indiana University. Karen is also a licensed foster parent.

Erin Crick

Director of Education Services
As director of education services, Erin Crick is charged with directing all operations for Damar Academy – a state-accredited freeway school. In addition to leading faculty and staff, Erin ensures compliance with all education requirements and fulfills students’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) needs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ball State University.

Dottie Gilliam

Dietary Services Director
Managing the kitchen at Damar since 1987, Dottie Gilliam is the Dietary Services Director. She is responsible for monitoring and directing all facets of the dietary operations, including managing staff and implementing meal plans for over 250 clients daily. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in restaurant, hotel and institution management.

Tammy Henninger

Volunteer Resources Director
As volunteer services director, Tammy Henninger shepherds and stewards volunteers for the many projects that occur across the Damar footprint. She facilitates all group activities and is also a key member of the Damar Foundation.

Arnetta Jackson

Director of Business Initiatives-- Community Living & Support Services (CLASS)
As director of business initiatives for Community Living & Support Services (CLASS), Arnetta Jackson is charged with managing community-based education and supported living services for the hundreds of children and adults the program serves. Arnetta holds an MBA with specialization in healthcare management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Guenevere Kalal

Director of Foster Care Services
As director of foster care services, Guene Kalal has built Damar Foster Care Services from the ground up. Since 2010, she has been charged with creating, building and operating the program – including managing the foster care staff. Guene holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Purdue University and a master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Angel Knapp Reese, MSW

Senior Director, External Initiatives & Quality Services
Angel Knapp has dedicated her entire career to the human services profession. Currently, she serves Damar as the senior director of external initiatives and quality services – a wrap-around treatment model designed for youth at risk of residential placement. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work from Indiana University.

Denise Lyons

Parent Advocate, Director of Parent Voices
As director of Parent Voices, Denise is the parent advocate for Damar clients, as well as a valuable resource to Damar’s leadership team. Denise studied consumer services at Michigan State University and spent eight years as a therapeutic foster parent. With her husband, she adopted two children, one of whom is served by Damar.

Donnie McCoy

Director of Independent Living & Older Youth Services
Donnie McCoy is the director of independent living and older youth services for Damar. In that role, he provides educational, vocational, social and life skills development training to youth in residential programs. He holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of Indianapolis.

Kristin McCoy, MS, BCBA

Director of ABA Services
As the director of ABA Services, Kristin McCoy leads assessment and treatment for children with autism through Applied Behavior Analysis. Kristin has been instrumental in helping shape Damar’s autism services. She holds a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University, as well as her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) distinction.

Sam Moya

Director of Clinical Services
Responsible for overseeing administration and supervision of the residential management team, Sam Moya is the director of clinical services at Damar. Sam began his career at Damar as a direct care staff in 2009. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Indianapolis.

Megan Owens

Director of Nursing
As director of nursing, Megan Owens supervises the children’s residential and CLASS program nursing teams. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Purdue University and is currently working on her master’s in nursing – family nurse practitioner through the University of Indianapolis.

Donna Stutler

Development Director
As director of development, Donna Stutler is responsible for maintaining, cultivating and expanding donor relations for the Damar Foundation. She also serves as the liaison to the Damar Guild. She holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Donna sits on the boards of multiple community organizations.

Nina Suntzeff, M.A., GPC, CFRE

Grant Administration Director
As Grant Administration Director, Nina Suntzeff is responsible for soliciting and managing private foundation, government and corporate foundation gifts in support of Damar’s mission. A Certified Fund Raising Executive, Nina holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a master’s degree from John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley.
