Sights, sounds, textures and movement can feel more intense — or may be something a child actively seeks out.
Damar Services
Every connection starts with a moment.
Sometimes, the smallest ones mean the most.
Together for Every Fan
Together, we're creating more ways for every fan to feel part of the experience.
Damar and the Indianapolis Colts are working together to build greater understanding of autism — helping create a community where every child has opportunities to participate, connect and belong.
When understanding grows, connection grows.
Experience
Game Day Through My Eyes
The same game can look and feel completely different.
Different reactions.
Same excitement.
Understanding
Autism isn't one experience.
Every child with autism experiences the world in their own way.
Autism can shape how a child communicates, processes sensory information and interacts with the world around them. Every child with autism experiences those things differently — and the support that works for one child may not work for another.
Understanding autism starts with understanding the individual.
A child may communicate through speech, gestures, expressions, devices or other ways that feel natural to them.
Familiar routines and knowing what comes next can provide comfort and make an unpredictable environment easier to navigate.
Excitement, stress, joy or discomfort may be expressed through movement, sound, behavior or in ways others don't immediately recognize.
Belonging
Look a little closer.
You might have more in common than you think.
Maybe the fan next to you cheers differently, communicates differently or experiences the sights and sounds around them differently.
They’re part of the crowd. And they’re here for the same reason you are.
Different experience. Same team.

Everyone has a role to play.
Choose the perspective that fits you today. A few simple actions can help make game day more comfortable, welcoming and inclusive.
Tips for fans
Help make game day welcoming for everyone.
01Every child is unique
Autism can look different from person to person. Each child’s experience and needs are uniquely their own.
02Understand sensory needs
Lights, sounds and crowds can be overwhelming. Allow space for a quick break, followed by a return to enjoying the game.
03Display openness
An open expression, a smile or a welcoming presence can bring comfort to both a child and their caregiver.
04Take cues from the caregiver
It’s okay to ask whether you can help. Even when the answer is no, your openness and willingness to understand can mean a lot.
Tips for caregivers
Prepare for a more comfortable, flexible outing.
01Come prepared
Prepare for the outing like you would any other. Bring anything your child may need to feel comfortable enough to enjoy the experience.
02Collaborate with other caregivers
Different people may need different things. Work together whenever possible so breaks, timing and support can flex around everyone’s needs.
03Give feedback
Let accommodating venues know what worked, share constructive suggestions and offer specific examples. Most of all, say thanks.
