Jim Dalton
Jim Dalton, Psy.D., HSPP, CSAYC
President & Chief Executive Officer

President and CEO Jim Dalton has long made an impact on the developmental disabilities industry. A licensed child psychologist, Dr. Dalton is highly regarded for his innovation in child behavioral health care. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Anderson University, a master’s from Spalding University and graduated first in his doctoral class in child psychology. He completed his residency at The Ohio State University.

Jennifer Maggard, MSW, LCSW
Chief Operating Officer

As chief operating officer, Jennifer Maggard is charged with daily business operations of the organization. Jennifer started her career with Damar in 1998 and has held a variety of positions throughout the organization. An active member of the National Association of Social Workers, Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Purdue University and a master’s in social work from Indiana University. Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Chief Financial Officer

Octavius Molton serves Damar as the Chief Financial Officer. Octavius has more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting and brings leadership knowledge in various industries, including public, private, and nonprofit organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Ball State University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Chief Strategy Officer

Jenny Peters serves as the chief strategy officer at Damar. In this role, she leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of Damar’s internal and external communications and marketing initiatives. Jenny holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Indiana State University and a master’s degree from Indiana University.

As the director of talent acquisition for Damar, Steve Huffman leads the full-scale recruitment effort for the entire organization.  Steve has 20+ years of experience in human resources with a focus in talent acquisition and holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.

President, Damar Foundation, Inc.

As the President of Damar Foundation, Inc, Shawn Collinsworth is responsible for the strategic development of Damar’s philanthropy program. He holds a master’s degree in higher education and a bachelor’s degree in criminology, both from Indiana State University. Prior to joining Damar, he served as President & CEO of The Advancement Center for Washington Township Schools and spent over 14 years as Executive Director of Phi Kappa Psi National Fraternity.

Chief Executive Assistant

As executive assistant for Damar Services, Katie McCoy supports the offices of the president & CEO and executive leadership team, as well as serving as a liaison to the Board of Directors. She also supervises the Damar Ambassadors. Katie has been with Damar since 1996 and has held this position for over 20 years.

Vice President, Youth Services—Admissions

Carla Bill is the vice president of youth services and admissions at Damar. Responsible for facilitating residential placements, she is Damar’s official liaison to the Indiana County Divisions of Child Services, Indiana Division of Disability Services, and Indiana Department of Education. Carla is a graduate of Indiana University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work.

Vice President, Specialized Initiatives and Programs

Responsible for overseeing administration and supervision of the residential management team, Sam Moya is the vice president for children’s residential services at Damar. Sam began his career at Damar as a direct care staff in 2009. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in clinical psychology from the University of Indianapolis.

Vice President, Community Support Services

As director of Behavior Management Services, Brittney oversees the development and implementation of behavioral strategies and interventions with clients and families in their natural environments. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Indiana University and a master’s in social work from Indiana University. Brittney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Behavioral Consultant.

Vice President, Operations

As the director of Older Youth Services and Education Mentoring, Donnie McCoy provides educational, vocational, social, and life skills development training to youth in residential programs, DCS regions 5&6, and school systems throughout central Indianapolis and surrounding areas. As the operations analyst, Donnie works with the leadership team to maximize output that support clients’ needs and financial goals. He holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of Indianapolis.

As director of Community Based Services, Adrienne is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of Damar’s community-based services, including program quality, staffing and financial processes and outcomes. Adrienne has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Purdue University and a master’s degree from Indiana University.

Aimee Brown
Aimee Brown
Director, DCA Operations & School Leader

Aimee Brown serves as the director of operations and school leader for Damar Charter Academy, Indiana’s first public charter school focused on successfully preparing children with developmental, intellectual, and behavioral challenges for a lifetime of learning. Aimee took on leadership of the school in 2015 after serving as the school’s director of special education. Aimee holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Purdue University.

Chief Administrator of Children’s Residential Services

As chief administrator of Children’s Residential Services, Erin Crick supports overseeing administration and supervision of the Children’s Residential Campus. She is also charged with directing all operations for Damar Academy—a state-accredited freeway school. In addition to leading faculty and staff, Erin ensures compliance with all education requirements and fulfills students’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) needs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ball State University.

As Database Resource Director, Tammy Duncan is responsible for managing all functions related to the donor database for the Damar Foundation. Tammy holds a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Senior Director, Clinical & Consulting Services

As the senior director of Clinical and Consulting Services, Angel Knapp is active in representing the best practices of the organization to external stakeholders. She represents Damar at local, state, and national events and provides expert consultation and training to organizations and state agencies. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work from Indiana University.

Julie Graue serves as the Corporate Partnership Director for the Damar Foundation.  In this role she generates sponsorship revenue, stewards existing partners and cultivates new corporate partnerships.  She has a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Ball State University.  Prior to joining Damar, Julie worked for 18 years at Pacers Sports & Entertainment in a variety of leadership roles.

Executive Vice President, Intensive ID/DD Services

As the director of ABA Services, Kristin McCoy leads assessment and treatment for children with autism through Applied Behavior Analysis. Kristin has been instrumental in helping shape Damar’s autism services. She holds a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University, as well as her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) distinction.

Director, Clinical Services

As a psychologist and director of Clinical Services, Dr. Danielle Nance leads Damar’s Stabilization, Assessment & Transition (SAT) program. She is responsible for managing a 20-bed short-term diagnostic and treatment unit that provides emergency placement and services for children who find themselves in traumatic situations. Dr. Nance holds a bachelor’s degree and a doctorate from the University of Indianapolis.

Director, Resource

As Resource Team director, Anthony Nwokedi is responsible for leading a team of staff who support Damar employees during client crisis situations. Anthony began his career as a direct care staff in 2014. He is certified through the National Resource Center for Youth Services, and also serves as a staff trainer for Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, a model for crisis de-escalation.

Miles Thompson
Director of Operations for Children’s Residential Services

As director of operations for Children’s Residential Services, Miles Thompson is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations and staffing of the children’s residential campus and transitional service homes. A Damar employee since 2013, Miles is a graduate of Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
