Volunteer Opportunities for Groups
Group volunteers are used in a number of ways. Groups can work directly with the clients in providing activities, provide administrative assistance, or work with the maintenance department in a variety of tasks. Groups must have at least 10 volunteers and a maximum of 50.
Volunteers under the age of 18 must provide a 1:5 adult to youth ratio. Group volunteers must identify a Group Coordinator that is responsible for the safety and well being of the group members. This person also provides coordination and supervision for the group while volunteering.
It is the responsibility of the coordinating group to obtain a signed parental liability statement form for group members under the age of 18. This paperwork must be presented the day of the volunteer event.
