Selfless Service – The DAMAR Guild
We at DAMAR Services are fortunate to have a dedicated group of women who have specially organized to directly support our growth and service. Established in 1972 as The DAMAR Guild, members have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for DAMAR activities and remain active advocates throughout Indiana.
Made up of professionals, community leaders and civic volunteers from all walks of life, members of the DAMAR Guild selflessly donate many hours of service in raising community awareness and funds for special DAMAR projects.
In addition to directly supporting expansion of DAMAR facilities and programs, the DAMAR Guild tirelessly supports the operations of the DAMAR Academy. The Academy provides educational services on DAMAR’s campus for children, teenagers and young adults who cannot take part in traditional public school settings.
The Guild’s annual Dinner Dance brings together notable community leaders and supporters, raising more than $30,000 each year. The Guild also sponsors a number of other special projects and fund-raisers throughout the year.
Hundreds of children have directly benefited from the Guild’s activities and focus. Membership in the Guild is open to all women. If you’re interested in learning more about The DAMAR Guild, please e-mail the Guild’s president at .
Actively reflecting DAMAR’s living Mission Statement, the Guild helps build better futures by first imaging the potential of those DAMAR serves, helping DAMAR engage in best practices to help re-direct them, and then achieving success together for children and adults facing life’s greatest challenges.
Imagine. Engage. Achieve.
