Community Support Services

The blended strength of Damar's innovative treatment programs and highly skilled staff are the cornerstone of our ability to achieve success for our clients. Damar's Community Support Services is the truest measure of our strength.

An early intervention care coordination, wrap-around treatment model, the program delivers comprehensive and community-based support for high risk children and youth with developmental disabilities and their families, specifically those who are:

• At risk for removal from their family home or foster home; or
• Approaching discharge from residential treatment or transitional living services and being reunified with their families, prepared for pre-adoptive placement or matched with a foster family.

Serving Indianapolis and surrounding counties, Community Support Services includes all components of a comprehensive, effective and efficient support and intervention program. It is designed to achieve the ultimate goal of keeping children where they belong - in a safe community living environment with their families.

The children and youth served by Community Support Services typically experience:

• Reduced risk of out of home placement
• Shorter residential treatment stays
• Lower recidivism
• More frequent and more efficient - other” system involvement (i.e. BDDS)
• Reduced time of involvement from the Department of Child Services
