Leah A. McKenzie, MS, BCBA
Clinical Director of Autism Services
Leah A. McKenzie is the clinical director of autism services for DAMAR Services, Inc., responsible for staff supervision, programming implementation, diagnosis and assessment, and outpatient care.
McKenzie came to DAMAR in 2005 as an autism specialist and was promoted to residential director of autism services before advancing to her current position in 2007. Her previous experience includes work as a behavioral therapist for Hadar Tann, and also as a speech pathologist for ECHO (Exceptional Children Have Opportunities) and GLASS (Greater Lafayette Special Services).
A native of Munster, Indiana, McKenzie graduated from Purdue University with both a Bachelor of Science in speech pathology and audiology and a master’s in special education. In 2006, to further her passion for serving individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities, McKenzie achieved the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) designation. She is one of only ten Indiana practitioners to hold the distinction, which advises other analysts on research-based behavioral treatments and mentors practitioners seeking the certification.
McKenzie is a member of the Autism Society of America and the Association for Behavioral Analysis (ABA International).
