Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Richard L. Harcourt became the first Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Damar Services, Inc. in August 2008 and is charged with strategic planning and management of all administrative operations related to accounting, purchasing, safety, maintenance, food service and housekeeping. Before joining Damar's executive team, Mr. Harcourt had recently ended a 32-year career in banking, retiring as the Senior Vice President & Managing Director of Specialized Lending at National City Bank. He had joined National City's predecessor, Merchant's National Bank, in 1976 immediately after graduating from the Miller School of Business at Ball State University. Harcourt's first involvement with Damar began in 1986 when he joined the Board of Directors. He actively served 22 years in that capacity when his desire to start a second career coincided with Damar's creation of the newly restructured staff position. Harcourt also has served as a commissioner of the Zionsville Redevelopment Committee, president of the Zionsville Finance Authority and as a board member for Covenant Christian High School. Harcourt is a resident of Zionsville. He and his wife, Dianne, are the parents of four sons.
