Aimee Brown
Special Education Director, Damar Academy
Aimee Brown, who has dedicated her entire professional career to serving individuals with special needs, serves as the Special Education Director for Damar Academy, a state-accredited freeway school through which Damar Services, Inc. provides specialized academic services for students with developmental disabilities in grades K-12. Charged with coordinating case conferences and Individual Education Plans for the more than 200 students served by Damar, Aimee serves as Damar Academys official liaison to public school systems in the state of Indiana and beyond.

Aimee came to Damar as a direct support professional in 1996, and was promoted to residential manager a year later. In 2003, she joined the small teaching staff at Damar Academy where she was instrumental in shaping the schools early academic programs. Aimee was again promoted to education coordinator in 2006 before assuming her current position in 2009.

Aimee holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Purdue University.
