Simone was previously with Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana where she facilitated job search workshops for those seeking to achieve greater independence and personal success through successful employment. Prior to joining Goodwill Industries, she worked several years as an employment specialist for Gateway Services where she specialized in job and housing placement for adults with developmental disabilities. Previous positions include additional experience as an employment specialist for the Georgia Department of Labor.

A native of Kingston, Jamaica, Simone came to the United States to attend Franklin College from which she holds a bachelor's degree in psychology. She also has a master's in management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
