Chris joined Damar's staff in 1995 as a direct support professional and in 1999 was promoted to behavioral specialist. He maintains his connection with the children Damar in part though service as a mentor for young men who have successfully transitioned from Damar's residential campus to more independent settings in the central Indiana community.

A seasoned trainer and public speaker on topics such as team building, verbal intervention and dual diagnoses, Chris's uses an effective and energizing blend of humor and practical wisdom to capture his audiences and inspire individuals to reach new levels of achievement. He also draws on 15 years of professional experience assisting children with intellectual disabilities to provide consulting services to industry organizations and youth mentoring programs across Indiana, including Head Start and the Pike County ARC.

A true champion for children with disabilities, Chris is a member of the Governmental Affairs Committee for the Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (INARF) and serves as an advisor on IARCCA's Public Policy Committee. He is a longtime volunteer for Special Olympics Indiana and board secretary for the United Northwest Area Association.
